1924 | May 11th - The building of the first aircraft hangar near Glumilino village has been completed. The AFFVS Central Administration has delivered the Farman-30 airplane to its Ufa branch for training purposes. May 15th – Opening of the aviation club within the Bashkirian branch of AFFVS. |
1932 | Three U-2 (Po-2) airplanes land at the Ufa aerodrome. |
1933 | The first ever route opens encompassing over 730 km via Ufa–Sterlitamak–Meleuz–Mrakovo–Baymak–Magnitogorsk–Beloretsk–Ufa. |
1946 | Ufa air squadron had been submitted under the Volga Administration of Civil Air Fleet. Flight services are performed using various modifications of Po-2 airplane. |
1954 | Ufa Airport receives the first An-2 plane, receptions of which have turned to regular basis further on. |
1956 | Ufa Airport had begun performing technical maintenance of the Yak-12 airplanes and Mi-1 helicopters, which were serving the Bashkirian air routes at that time. |
1958 | Ufa Airport receives Li-2 airplanes, which demanded runways of greater quality and larger size with advanced radio and lighting equipment. |
1959-1962 | Project documentation for the new airport facilities construction had been completed. The new runway capable of receiving Tu-124, An-10 and Il-18 aircrafts with lightning and radio approach equipment for landing under heavy weather conditions, radar facilities, 3-storied hotel building, cargo and fuel storage facilities, 100-seated dining hall, a garage for 6 cars and a transformer station for Airport’s power supply service have been built and put into service. |
1962-1963 | Ufa Airport was one of the first to receive An-24 aircrafts which have been serving domestic routes at that time. |
1964 | A new terminal for 400 passengers per hour was built and put in operation |
1967 | A drastic surge in number of routes from Ufa Airport to Moscow, Sochi, Simferopol, Tbilisi, Kharkov and Leningrad on a Tu-134 aircraft. |
1974 | The Tu-154 has entered regular service. |
1976-1990 | RWY-1 undergoes reconstruction (the concrete surface has been imposed, thus gaining 27 cm in thickness) resulting in ability to receive aircrafts with takeoff weight of up to 100 tons – Tu-154 and lighter a/c. RWY-1 has been assigned ICAO cat I status. |
1990 | RWY-2 (3760×60 m) complying with ICAO cat II has been introduced to service, allowing reception of An-124 “Ruslan” and Boeing 747 “Jumbo Jet” aircraft types. |
1992 | Ufa Airport started to carry out international status. |
1999 | Purchase of the foreign aerodrome equipment. |
2000 | October 10th- International Terminal for 200 passengers per hour was built and put in operation. Due to the split-up of the joint enterprise, Bashkirian Airlines and Ufa International Airport have been divided into separate businesses. Ufa International Airport has become a self-governing state unitary enterprise belonging to Bashkortostan Republic. |
2001 | January 5th – the first international flight has been performed from Terminal 2 via Tashkent–Ufa–Tashkent route. |
2002 | “Ufa International Airport” Unitary state enterprise has been translated to Federal unitary state enterprise. |
2005 | Reconstruction of the Terminal 1, hotel and fuel output depot has begun. |
2006 | January 17th – “Ufa International Airport” Federal unitary state enterprise has been transformed to Public joint-stock company with basic capital of 181 million RUR and 100% of shares belonging to RosGosImuschestvo (Federal State Committee for state property management). |
2007 | The reconstruction of the terminal for 400 passengers came to its end, now its handling capacity is of 600 passengers an hour. |
2007 | The reconstructed terminal of the airport entered into operation. The area of the air terminal has increased more than twice. At the moment many departments are located there. The terminal is equipped with modern facilities and up-to-date outfit. There have been mounted 4 telescopic ramps, 4 elevators and 3 escalators. It is gives the opportunity to serve 600 passengers per hour. Ufa International airport has a modern reconstructed fueling complex which regularly passes tests on conformity to the IÀÒÀ standards. The level, temperature and density automatic control system provides complete management of all technological processes of fuel quality. |
2007 | Ufa International Airport has served more than 1 million passengers. |
2008 | V-muse system is run at Ufa Airport. |
2008 | Ufa Airport has celebrated the 75 birthday. |
2008 | A new system of booking and sailing tickets «Gabriel» is set up. |
